Thought, Action, Reaction, Interaction, released November 2022 on ATA Records, was recorded in single takes with no rehearsal at the label's own Sheffield studio, a method the band has said was inspired by Pharoah Sanders's spontaneous, spiritual approach to recording. The five tracks bring together saxophonist Tony Burkill, bassist Neil Innes, drummer Sam Hobbs, harpist Gareth Wilkins and guitarist Chris Dawkins, with Ghanaian vocalist K.O.G. featuring on the closing meditation. It's the group's second album for ATA, following a similarly spontaneous record, and keeps faith with the same in-the-moment philosophy rather than tightening into something more composed.
