The Sound Of Wilson Pickett, released 1967 on Atlantic, was recorded at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals with the label's regular session crew, Spooner Oldham, Chips Moman, Tommy Cogbill and Roger Hawkins among them, under Jerry Wexler's production. It sits between Wicked Pickett and I'm In Love in his catalog and includes "Funky Broadway" and both parts of "I Found a Love," recorded here without becoming the hit versions of those songs.
