Somebody Cares, released September 2024 on Finland's Timmion Records, strips the vocals from Cold Diamond & Mink's collaboration album with singer Jonny Benavidez, My Echo, Shadow and Me, originally issued on Daptone. The nine-track instrumental set combines previously unreleased backing tracks with instrumental versions of earlier singles like "Tell Me That You Love Me" and "Your Last Song," letting the band's own arrangements, horns and rhythm section carry tracks that were built around Benavidez's vocal takes on the original release. It's a chance to hear the Timmion house band's own playing and production choices on their own terms, stripped of the lead vocal that usually sits on top.
