MALIK, released September 2025 on Cashmere Thoughts, is the seventeen-track debut album from London saxophonist and producer Venna, released under his own given name. He's described the record as less a personal statement than an open channel, saying "every experience, every memory, every conversation, anything new, any encounter has influenced how this album sounds." His mother named him Malik, Arabic for "king" or "leader," twenty-six years before the album's release. The guest list runs deep, including Jorja Smith, MIKE, Smino, Leon Thomas and Yussef Dayes, alongside instrumentalists Rocco Palladino and Elijah Fox.
