Milo Fitzpatrick's second album as Vega Trails, released on Gondwana in March 2025, was conceived at his new home in central Spain, in the foothills of the Sierra de Guadarrama northwest of Madrid, where he's lived since 2022. Following 2022's Tremors In The Static, this record expands the project's palette to piano, vibraphone and strings alongside the original saxophone work of Jordan Smart (also of Mammal Hands and Sunda Arc), each of the ten tracks building its own cinematic arc rather than working as a single continuous mood piece. “Els” leans on folk melody while “Dream House” and “Sleepwalk Tokyo” chase something closer to otherworldliness.
