Urban Renewal, recorded 1974 at the Record Plant in Sausalito and released 1975 on Warner Bros., is the last Tower of Power album fronted by singer Lenny Williams. Drummer David Garibaldi, on leave from the band, appears only on the single "Willing to Learn," with David Bartlett covering the rest of the session. Critic Robert Christgau graded it B+, singling out the band's songs about the energy crisis.
