What Happened, released 1969 on Brunswick, is Chicago group the Artistics' album for producer Carl Davis, who'd signed them to OKeh in 1963 and brought them along when he moved to Brunswick. Directed by Willie Henderson, the ten tracks mix originals with covers of "I Wish You Love" and "What the World Needs Now Is Love," fronted by lead singer Marvin Smith. It arrived a few years after their biggest hit and before their 1973 breakup.
