Still Bill, released May 1972 on Sussex Records, is Bill Withers's second album, recorded with musicians from the Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band at Record Plant in Los Angeles. Across soul, funk and blues arrangements, Withers sings from a plainspoken, middle-class male perspective on human nature and relationships. It carried two of his biggest singles, "Lean on Me," a number-one pop and R&B hit, and "Use Me," which reached number two on both charts.
