Off The Grid, released October 2023 on Real World Records, is the third full-length and first Real World release from Onipa, the Anglo-Ghanaian quartet formed when guitarist Tom Excell and vocalist Kweku Sackey met at an Oxford recording studio in 2014, while Sackey was studying in Sheffield. Across fourteen tracks blending highlife, kwaito and afrobeat, guests include Moonchild Sanelly and Dele Sosimi. Sackey has said of the band's roots-forward approach, "if you like afrobeats, then this is where it actually comes from," while Excell called drawing on Africa's musical breadth simply natural to the band.
