Doko Mien, released March 2019 on Merge Records, is Ibibio Sound Machine's third album, recorded in London with vocalist Eno Williams singing in a mix of Ibibio, a Nigerian language, and English. The band builds its sound from Afrobeat, funk, electro and 1980s synth textures, layering horns and percussion over programmed rhythms. AllMusic called it the group's most sonically ambitious record to date, and it featured on the outlet's year-end list of favorite world albums.
