An Ever Changing View, released September 2023 on Gondwana Records, finds Manchester trumpeter and label founder Matthew Halsall deliberately resetting his usual approach across ten instrumental tracks, among them "Tracing Nature," "Water Street" and "Mountains, Trees and Seas." Halsall has described the record as "a real exploration of sound," made after he "hit the reset button" and pushed for complete musical freedom. The release comes with handmade typography by Ian Anderson of The Designers Republic and cover artwork from a tapestry commissioned from artist Sara Kelly, continuing Halsall's long-running attention to the physical presentation of his Gondwana releases.
