Girl In The Half Pearl, released February 2023 on In Real Life, is Liv.e's second album, seventeen tracks working through grief, relationship dynamics and a reclaimed sense of womanhood in the years since her 2020 debut. The songs trace a process of self-examination shaped partly by a residency at London's Laylow, where she began experimenting with live performance for the first time. The record moves fluidly between R&B, psychedelic soul and hazier, more abstract passages, framed less as a single narrative than as a document of working things out in real time.
