Blending neo-soul, hip-hop, reggae and soul, the record works through love, motherhood, faith and Hill's own reckoning with the end of the Fugees. It debuted at number one, sold over ten million copies in the US, and became the first hip-hop album to win the Grammy for Album of the Year.
