Open Sesame, released 1976 on De-Lite Records, is Kool & the Gang's eighth studio album, self-produced by the band with Ronald Bell, Robert "Kool" Bell, Claydes Charles Smith and George Brown at the core. The title track became a top-ten R&B single and reached a much wider audience the following year when it was included on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. The record itself peaked at number nine on the Soul Albums chart.
