Uhlmann Johnson Wilkes, released March 2025 on International Anthem, is the debut trio album from guitarist Gregory Uhlmann, saxophonist Josh Johnson and bassist Sam Wilkes, built from two live sets at the LA venue ETA and a studio session at Uhlmann's house, engineered by Bryce Gonzales. Uhlmann and Johnson met as teenage jazz students in Chicago, both later studying with guitarist Jeff Parker before reconnecting in Los Angeles, where all three now work at the intersection of jazz and electronic production. The eleven-track instrumental record closes with a version of the Beatles' "The Fool on the Hill."
