Can't Lose My (Soul), released March 2025 on Luaka Bop, is the major-label debut from Annie & The Caldwells, a family soul band from West Point, Mississippi fronted by Annie Caldwell and her husband of fifty years, guitarist Willie Joe Caldwell Sr. Annie's roots trace back to the Staples Jr. Singers, the gospel group she formed with her brothers in the 1970s. Producer Ahmed Gallab, known as Sinkane, trucked a mobile rig down from Nashville and converted the family's West Point church into a control room, where "Don't You Hear Me Calling" became a testimonial about her brother's heart transplant.
