Nate Smith, Joe Dart, Cory Wong and Mark Lettieri, all veterans of Vulfpeck's orbit, recorded this fifth Fearless Flyers release live on a Burbank soundstage in January 2025, the week running up to the NAMM trade show. Eight tracks, cut with the same instrumental-funk chemistry that's carried the side project since their 2018 debut EP, the band leaning on baritone guitar interplay between Wong and Lettieri over Dart's bass and Smith's drums. Less a studio-polished record than a document of a working band playing loose and live together in a room.
