Stanley Clarke, released December 1974 on Nemperor, is bassist Stanley Clarke's second solo album, produced by Clarke himself with Jan Hammer on synthesizer, Bill Connors on guitar and his Return to Forever bandmate Tony Williams on drums. "Vulcan Princess" reworks "Vulcan Worlds," the opening track from Return to Forever's own album earlier that same year, into a showcase for Clarke's own writing. The record reached number four on the Jazz Albums chart.
