Bop City, recorded March 1983 at Planet Sound in New York and released on Antilles, was produced by Mike Mainieri, who also plays vibraphone alongside Phil Woods, Eddie Gomez and Peter Erskine. The nine tracks mix Sidran originals with standards by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans, spanning light fusion, mainstream jazz and pop within a single session.
