The Griffith Park Collection (1982) brought Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard and Lenny White together as an acoustic quintet to revisit the hard bop of the classic Blue Note sessions. Lenny White produced it for Elektra Musician, and it was released in July 1982 as a companion to Echoes Of An Era. Each player brought material: White's "L's Bop" and "Guernica", Clarke's "Why Wait", Corea's trio piece "October Ballade" and Hubbard's "Happy Times", plus Steve Swallow's "Remember". We also have Clarke's Children Of Forever, produced by Corea with White on drums, and Hubbard's The Love Connection. This is the US Elektra Musician pressing, still in its shrink wrap and unplayed.
