Children Of Forever (1973) is Stanley Clarke's debut album, recorded at A&R Studios in New York on 26 and 27 December 1972 and produced by Chick Corea, then his bandmate in Return To Forever. Corea plays electric piano and clavinet alongside Pat Martino on guitar, Lenny White on drums and Arthur Webb on flute, with Dee Dee Bridgewater and Andy Bey on vocals. Clarke plays both double bass and bass guitar across five long pieces, closing with Corea's 16-minute "Sea Journey". We also have The Griffith Park Collection, which reunites Clarke, Corea and White, and Norman Connors' Love From The Sun, with Bridgewater again on vocals. This is a US Polydor pressing.
