Music For Autumn Lovers, released November 2024, pairs four tracks from producer Scrimshire's 2022 EP of the same name with four new compositions, eight instrumental pieces named after trees: Hawthorn, Hazel, Hornbeam, Sweet Chestnut, Ash, Willow, Sycamore and Blackthorn. Built from finger-picked acoustic guitar, piano, synthesiser, strings and horns, the record aims to capture the particular feeling of the season, its shifting light and the mix of wistfulness and comfort that comes with it. Scrimshire has described it as "an attempt to try and capture" those distinct, unique sensations and latent memories, music meant to be revisited every year rather than once.
