Fever (1979) was produced by Roy Ayers with singer Carla Vaughn, who shares lead vocals on "Simple And Sweet", "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" and "Is It Too Late To Try?". Bernard Purdie drums on most of the album, with Justo Almario on tenor sax, Philip Woo and Harold Land Jr. on keys, and Ayers on vibes, clavinet and synths. The opener "Love Will Bring Us Back Together" reached number 41 on the Billboard R&B singles chart, and the album made number 25 on the R&B albums chart. The instrumental closer "Leo" puts Ayers' vibes up front. We also have its predecessor Let's Do It and the Coffy soundtrack. This is a US Polydor pressing by Presswell, with the custom inner sleeve.
