Friends And Strangers, released March 1977 on Blue Note, is Ronnie Laws's third solo album, produced by fellow former Crusader Wayne Henderson at ABC Recording Studios in Los Angeles. Earth, Wind & Fire's Larry Dunn adds synthesizer alongside pianist Bobby Lyle, and Laws's sisters Debra and Eloise contribute backing vocals throughout. It became a rare crossover hit for jazz-funk, certified gold on more than 500,000 copies sold.
