Come Around And Love Me, released September 2023 on Daptone, is Jalen N'Gonda's debut album, produced by Mike Buckley and Vincent Chiarito, both former members of Charles Bradley's Extraordinaires, and recorded at Brooklyn's Hive Mind Studios after pandemic-era plans were interrupted, resuming once N'Gonda signed to Daptone in 2021. The D.C.-born, London-based singer's title track reached number nine on the UK Vinyl Singles Chart, and the album topped the UK Independent Album Breakers Chart, drawing comparisons to Motown-era soul and doo-wop across its eleven tracks and six preceding singles, cut with the same small studio crew throughout.
