Jaga Jazzist's third album, originally released on Ninja Tune in May 2003, reissued here for its twentieth anniversary. Ten Norwegian musicians including saxophonist Lars Horntveth, drummer Martin Horntveth and flutist Jørgen Munkeby build dense arrangements out of strings, woodwinds, brass, vibraphone, synthesizers and drum machines, producer Jørgen Træen threading electronics through it all. A high point in the band's early run, the sheer scale of the ensemble setting it apart from most jazz-adjacent records of its era.
