Tailor Made, released 1977 on Epic, was Bobbi Humphrey's first album after leaving Blue Note, where she'd made three records with the Mizell Brothers. Produced by Skip Scarborough with Humphrey serving as her own executive producer, the eight tracks lean toward disco and jazz-funk, with vibraphonist Roger Glenn, keyboardist Mark Soskin and a young Sheila Escovedo on percussion filling out the arrangements. It marked a deliberate shift from the Mizells' denser production toward a sleeker, more commercial Epic sound.
