Annie and Willie Joe Caldwell, married fifty years, lead this West Point, Mississippi family band, their children and a goddaughter filling out the lineup, on a 2025 Luaka Bop debut two decades in the making. Producer Ahmed Gallab (of Sinkane) brought a mobile studio into the back room of the church where Willie Joe plays guitar twice a week, calling Annie's voice “like witnessing something rare.” Six tracks, cut where the band actually plays, the family balancing music against day jobs that include running Annie's own clothing store on Main Street.
