Fluid Motion, released October 2019 on Rhythm Section International, is the third album from Melbourne collective 30/70, thirteen tracks moving between neo-soul, Dilla-indebted rhythm, astral jazz textures and the loose swing of UK broken beat and grime. It follows 2017's Elevate, mixed by Hiatus Kaiyote's Paul Bender, and arrived after the group had already picked up champions in Gilles Peterson, Tom Ravenscroft and Bradley Zero and appeared on Peterson's Brownswood compilation Sunny Side Up. Vocalist Allysha Joy anchors the record, her voice carried from opener "Brunswick Hustle" all the way to the closing "Flowers."
