MFSB were the Sigma Sound house band behind Gamble and Huff's Philadelphia International hits, and Love Is The Message (1973) is where they stepped out under their own name. Produced by Gamble-Huff and largely arranged by Bobby Martin, it includes "TSOP (The Sound Of Philadelphia)", the Soul Train theme that went to number one in the US in 1974 with The Three Degrees on vocals. The title track became a cornerstone of early disco and club DJ culture. This is a Strongly Felt reissue.
