What The World Is Coming To, released 1977 on Philadelphia International, is Dexter Wansel's second album, recorded at Sigma Sound Studios with Wansel handling production, arrangement and most of the keyboards himself. Jean Carn contributes vocals, and the record moves across quiet storm, disco-funk and instrumental pop-jazz, with "Going Back to Kingston Town" taking an unexpected reggae detour from the sci-fi themes of his debut, Life on Mars.
