New Amerykah Part Two: Return Of The Ankh, released March 2010 on Motown, is Erykah Badu's fifth album, built largely from GarageBand sketches she made at home in Dallas and developed with producers including J Dilla, Questlove, Madlib and 9th Wonder. Where its predecessor leaned political, this record turns toward romance, a shift Badu has described as more emotional and flowing. It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and drew comparisons to her 1997 debut Baduizm.
