Tyler Daley and Konny Kon had each spent close to two decades in music separately — Daley as a songwriter and vocalist, Konny as an MC and beatmaker for hip-hop crews including The Microdisiacs — before combining as Children Of Zeus for this 2018 debut. Travel Light is built almost entirely by the pair themselves, a sub-heavy, Rhodes-laden hip-hop and soul hybrid with reggae running through its sound-system instincts, Daley even working a lover’s rock excursion into the mix. Guests including Terri Walker, DRS and LayFullStop fill in around the duo’s own writing and production, DJ Mr Thing adding turntable work.
