Computer Games, released November 1982 on Capitol, is George Clinton's first true solo album, assembled from Parliament-Funkadelic personnel after Clinton dissolved both groups amid contract disputes. Co-written and produced with former Ohio Players keyboardist Junie Morrison, it pushed P-Funk toward the emerging electro sound. "Atomic Dog" topped the R&B chart despite stalling at only 101 on the pop chart, a modest debut for what became one of Clinton's most sampled songs.
