Winston Rodney's third album as Burning Spear, produced by Lawrence Jack Ruby Lindo with backing band The Black Disciples, drawn from The Soul Syndicate and The Wailers. Recorded in Jamaica for Fox Records in 1975, then picked up internationally by Island — Robert Christgau called it the most African-sounding, most political reggae record released in America at that point. Rodney opposed Island's remix, arguing it softened the original; a dub companion, Garvey's Ghost, followed four months later.
