Where The Happy People Go, released 1976 on Atlantic, is the Trammps' third album, produced by Ronnie Baker, Norman Harris and drummer Earl Young, the same Philadelphia session trio behind much of the era's disco sound. The title track spent sixteen weeks on the dance chart and hit number one there, while "Disco Party" repeated the feat, pushing the album to number 13 on the R&B chart. Frontman Jimmy Ellis leads a record built almost entirely around club-focused disco.
