Love Storm, released 1977 on Capitol, is Tavares's fifth studio album, produced by Freddie Perren with Larkin Arnold as executive producer. Session players include drummer James Gadson and guitarist Bob "Boogie" Bowles, with Freda Payne guesting on "I Wanna See You Soon." Lead single "Whodunit" topped the Soul Singles chart and reached the pop top 25, while the album itself climbed to number fifteen on the R&B chart.
