Patrick Adams Presents Phreek - Weekend (12") 2019 (Mint (M))

Weekend, released in 1978 on South Street International, is a Patrick Adams production credited to his studio group Phreek, one of many disco projects the prolific Harlem-born producer and arranger ran through the late 1970s. Adams had already built a career shaping records for labels including All Platinum, working with vocal groups assembled for individual singles rather than as touring acts. "Weekend" became one of the more enduring tracks from that catalogue, later reissued for new generations of disco collectors.
