Kaidi Tatham's third solo album, released on First Word Records in 2021, following 2018's It's A World Before You. Fifteen tracks move through his usual broken-beat foundations — Rhodes, flutes, live bass, dense percussion — into Latin and samba rhythms, deep afro house and, on “Intergalactic Relations,” straight electro-breaks at 110bpm. Stro Elliot of The Roots guests on “Stro Kyat.” Tatham, one of the originators of the Broken Beat sound out of the Bugz In The Attic scene, frames the whole record as “not about a destination, but a process.”
