Dundundun - Future Hope EP (12") 2022 (Mint (M))

Future Hope EP, released April 2022 on Worm Discs, is a four-track record from Bristol act Dundundun, built around the title track's feature from spoken-word artist Nadeem Din-Gabisi and a remix from fellow Bristol producer Red Rack'em. Recorded and mixed by Nicholas Dover at Canyon Sound and mastered at DMS in Devon, the EP moves from broken beat into house on the remix, then closes with a heavier, afro-Brazilian-inflected afrobeat workout on the B-side. Bristol radio and DJ circles picked it up quickly, with early support from Gilles Peterson and Tom Ravenscroft helping a small independent release travel further than most EPs.
