Amygdala, released March 2013 on Pampa Records, is DJ Koze's second full album and his first in over a decade, a thirteen-track set pulling guests from well outside his usual house and techno circles, including Caribou, Apparat and Matthew Dear. Rather than sticking to one dancefloor sound, it moves between warped pop songwriting and hazy electronic detail, held together by Koze's ear for texture over genre. It's widely regarded as a turning point in his catalogue.
